About The Position

The Kansas City Manager for Bar Crawl Nation is responsible for overseeing the execution of themed bar crawl events in the Kansas City area. This part-time, contract position involves managing a team, coordinating with local venues, and ensuring a successful event experience for attendees. The role requires strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• 2+ years of event/hospitality/service management experience.
• Knowledge of the service industry.
• Ability to manage and motivate staff.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and multitasking skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle stress and solve problems quickly.
• Comfortable in high volume, fast-paced, alcohol-infused environments.
• Ability to learn technology and teach it to others (e.g., using an app).
• 21+ years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Take direction from the Regional Event Coordinator and ensure successful execution of events throughout the year.
• Conduct site visits to partner venues to discuss event details and distribute promotional materials.
• Communicate with the Assistant Manager, Event Staff, and Photographer to confirm attendance and attire.
• Participate in team calls the week of each event.
• Guarantee the safety of event supplies and materials.
• Arrive early on event day for setup and staff sign-in/out.
• Train and assign roles to staff members.
• Help onboard customers to the event app and resolve any technical issues.
• Ensure proper breakdown and cleanup after events.
• Close out tabs with participating venues and ensure proper payments are made.
• Maintain positive relationships with partner venues and communities.
• Ensure event compliance with state and local regulations.
• Communicate important information with the Event Coordinator and complete end-of-event recap reports.
