The K9 Handler will utilize their knowledge and expertise in the training and handling of a certified explosive detection K9 partner to conduct property sweeps to locate suspicious packages or objects that may contain explosive material to ensure a safe environment and minimize potential liability for employees and guests of Caesars Entertainment. The K9 Handler will assist and liaise effectively with Caesars Entertainment Security personnel, law enforcement agencies and local partners as requested and will perform all duties in accordance with Caesars Entertainment policies and procedures, and within the realm of the Caesars Entertainment mission statement.

  • Conduct property sweeps to locate suspicious packages or objects that may contain explosive material.
  • Assist and liaise with Caesars Entertainment Security personnel, law enforcement agencies, and local partners.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with Caesars Entertainment policies and procedures.
  • Maintain annual K9 certifications.
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Assume a role of authority in high-risk crises.
  • Communicate clearly with staff, management, and the public.
  • Set an example and be a role model for all Security personnel.
  • Foster an ethical work environment and handle situations honestly.
  • 3 years prior experience preferred in law enforcement, military or private security.
  • Ability to pass a company approved canine certification course within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Must possess interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
  • Must be approved by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) to handle explosive material.
  • A working knowledge in the area of investigations, possess investigative and analytical skills.
  • Must be able to respond calmly in crisis and stressful situations.
  • Must have a current and valid Nevada Driver's License and clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in handling explosive detection K9s.
  • CPR/AED certification.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, in both written and oral forms.
