About The Position

The Foreman supervises, assigns, coordinates, and evaluates semi-skilled and skilled trades personnel based on their skill, experience, and job knowledge. This role involves supervising and training employees to enhance the quality and quantity of their work, recommending further training to improve skills and productivity, and assisting in the development of training procedures. The Foreman is responsible for translating broad strategies into practical action plans and ensuring employees are trained to execute these plans. Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with all technical aspects of the job, such as adherence to drawings and procedures. The position is also accountable for manufacturing, installation, operation, testing, and process operations that significantly impact the company's financial performance. Additionally, the Foreman supervises qualified trades staff and monitors job and budget performance across all shifts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree OR
  • Apprentice Certification OR
  • High School and 4 years combined manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, military experience OR
  • Associate Degree in a Trade/Technical and 3 years of relevant manufacturing, shipbuilding, trade and/or military experience
