About The Position

The K/T Instructor - Engineering position involves planning and carrying out instruction and instructional activities, as well as preparing learning materials for special study. The instructor will provide instruction in both theory and practice, prepare lesson plans, and maintain records and reports on students' attainment and progress. The role also includes maintaining order and discipline in the classroom, keeping abreast of technical changes in the field, and updating programs for the benefit of students. Participation in professional activities to improve skills is expected, along with providing follow-up services to assist in student placement. The instructor will also work on improving courses of instruction and promoting good public relations, while performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must hold the Rank III KY teaching certificate in the subject area to be taught.
  • Must hold a KY Statement of Eligibility in the subject area to be taught.
  • Four years of appropriate work experience, two of which must be in the last five years.
  • At least 4 years of industrial occupational experience, technical education, or a teaching certificate in Secondary Science, Mathematics, Technology, or STEM.
