About The Position
Walton Charter Academy, located in Pontiac, MI, opened in 1999 and serves students from Young 5 to 8. The Teacher in Residence (TIR) position is a proactive hiring initiative aimed at bringing passionate teachers to the school before classroom openings become available. TIRs will be assigned a specific classroom and will collaborate with school leadership and other teachers to prepare for the upcoming school year. This role is designed to ensure that teachers are ready to assume responsibility for a classroom when a vacancy arises.
