About The Position

The K–5 Certified Educator is responsible for delivering high-quality, standards-aligned instruction that supports the academic, social, and emotional development of elementary students. This role requires a passionate, student-centered educator who fosters a positive classroom culture, differentiates instruction, and collaborates with colleagues and families to ensure student success.

Requirements

  • Valid state teaching certification for Elementary Education (K–5).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of elementary instructional best practices.
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Education or related field.
  • Experience working in a charter school setting.
  • Experience with data-driven instruction and intervention strategies.
  • ESL, Reading Endorsement, or Special Education certification (if applicable).

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons aligned to state standards and school curriculum.
  • Develop and implement differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.
  • Utilize data-driven practices to assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Integrate technology and instructional strategies to enhance student learning.
  • Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments in a timely manner.
  • Establish and maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Implement effective classroom management strategies aligned with school-wide expectations.
  • Promote positive student behavior and character development.
  • Administer formative and summative assessments.
  • Analyze assessment data to inform instruction and interventions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
  • Participate in RTI/MTSS processes as needed.
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and classroom updates.
  • Participate in parent-teacher conferences and school events.
  • Collaborate with support staff, administrators, and colleagues to support student achievement.
  • Participate in professional development and ongoing learning opportunities.
  • Attend faculty meetings, professional learning communities (PLCs), and required trainings.
  • Comply with all school policies, procedures, and state/federal regulations.
  • Uphold the mission, vision, and values of the charter school.
