About The Position

The K–5 Certified Educator is responsible for delivering high-quality, standards-aligned instruction that supports the academic, social, and emotional development of elementary students. This role requires a passionate, student-centered educator who fosters a positive classroom culture, differentiates instruction, and collaborates with colleagues and families to ensure student success.

Requirements

Valid state teaching certification for Elementary Education (K–5).
Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
Demonstrated knowledge of elementary instructional best practices.
Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in Education or related field.
Experience working in a charter school setting.
Experience with data-driven instruction and intervention strategies.
ESL, Reading Endorsement, or Special Education certification (if applicable).

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons aligned to state standards and school curriculum.
Develop and implement differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.
Utilize data-driven practices to assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
Integrate technology and instructional strategies to enhance student learning.
Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments in a timely manner.
Establish and maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
Implement effective classroom management strategies aligned with school-wide expectations.
Promote positive student behavior and character development.
Administer formative and summative assessments.
Analyze assessment data to inform instruction and interventions.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
Participate in RTI/MTSS processes as needed.
Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and classroom updates.
Participate in parent-teacher conferences and school events.
Collaborate with support staff, administrators, and colleagues to support student achievement.
Participate in professional development and ongoing learning opportunities.
Attend faculty meetings, professional learning communities (PLCs), and required trainings.
Comply with all school policies, procedures, and state/federal regulations.
Uphold the mission, vision, and values of the charter school.
