About The Position
The position involves teaching music to students in grades K-4, focusing on fostering creativity, musical literacy, and a lifelong appreciation for music. The teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering music lessons that align with the Arkansas state standards, introducing students to a variety of musical concepts, including cultural music traditions. Collaboration with classroom teachers is essential to support interdisciplinary learning and create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment that promotes student growth and the opportunities music provides. Additionally, the teacher will organize and direct student performances such as concerts, assemblies, productions, and holiday programs.
