About The Position
The position involves developing, implementing, and assessing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior plans for students with special needs. This includes writing and reporting on student goals and progress, ensuring that each student's educational needs are met effectively. The role requires active participation in team meetings for eligibility, annual reviews, and re-evaluations, as well as providing specialized instruction in primary content areas with appropriate modifications and accommodations. Collaboration with grade-level educators, specialists, and support staff is essential to ensure comprehensive support for students. Regular communication with families and caregivers regarding student progress is also a key responsibility.
