K-12 School LVN Floater
About The Position
Cross Country Education is seeking a dynamic Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Floater to provide specialized care across K-12 school sites in the Montebello, CA district. This role requires nursing expertise and adaptability to change student lives daily. The LVN Floater will provide nursing coverage, quickly adapting to assignment changes such as Health Office support or 1:1 student care. Essential support for students with complex health needs, including G-tube feeding, diabetic management, seizure protocols, and Tracheostomy care, will be delivered. The position also involves ensuring student safety by providing medical supervision during bus routes, with shifts potentially starting as early as 6:45 AM or ending as late as 4:00 PM. The successful candidate will move between school locations as needed to meet student needs, with mileage reimbursed.
Requirements
- Valid California Licensed Vocational Nurse License
- Valid Driver's License
- Extensive experience with Trach care, G-tube feedings, and diabetic management
- Ability to thrive in a role where assignments and locations may change on short notice
