About The Position

The Outside Sales Account Executive is responsible for selling educational products and services within the Pennsylvania territory. This role focuses on achieving sales goals through effective territory management and building strong relationships with customers. The position requires frequent travel to customer sites and emphasizes the importance of maintaining a professional image of the company while developing ongoing, profitable relationships with clients.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree completed.
  • 2-5 years of sales experience.
  • Previous experience in K12 educational sales or technology field with a proven track record in meeting and exceeding sales goals.
  • Proven ability in selling, closing, creating value, and managing a large pipeline.
  • Integrity, passion, and strong in-person presentation skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a hunter mentality.
  • Passionate about sales and technology delivery; ability to learn and convey technical solutions.
  • Self-driven with the ability to thrive in a field location.
  • Excellent organizational and follow-through skills.
  • Exceptional listening and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Computer/internet savvy with experience in MS Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and current auto insurance.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in educational technology sales.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales forecasting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Pro-actively controls the sales cycle and manages assigned territory to achieve revenue and customer goals.
  • Creates a comprehensive sales/business plan for potential customers, including new account development and expansion of existing customer revenue.
  • Achieves established weekly activity guidelines and utilizes CRM to document the sales process.
  • Builds customer loyalty by developing strong relationships with decision makers within customer organizations.
  • Performs sales presentations and product demonstrations to promote products and services.
  • Prepares quotes/proposals in accordance with company policy, ensuring healthy gross profit margins.
  • Manages customer expectations throughout the sales cycle and ensures placement on bid and/or qualified supplier lists.
  • Prepares sales forecasts/budgets and progress reports to RVP in compliance with company guidelines.
  • Attends bid openings and provides corporate office with tabulation information.
  • Participates in the company's National Sales Meeting and other duties as assigned.
