About The Position

Cimarron is seeking a JWICS and SAP Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Schriever Space Force Base in the Colorado Springs, CO area. Key Duties : Administer and operate a JWICS environment, ensuring cybersecurity compliance, operational sustainment, and continuous system performance. Build, configure, and maintain Windows workstations and thin clients to support mission requirements. Perform hardware and software operations and maintenance, including installation of critical patches in accordance with MDA policies and guidelines. Troubleshoot and resolve system errors and user issues in a timely manner. Monitor and track resource utilization and system performance metrics. Execute system modifications and upgrades as mission needs require. Coordinate with work centers and personnel to resolve Remedy Incidents related to systems and supporting infrastructure. Provide Special Access Program (SAP) support as required. Support additional Systems Engineering and Administration tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
  • Active Top Secret Clearance (or higher).
  • Ability to obtain a SCI clearance in a reasonable timeframe.
  • This position requires access to federal facilities. Candidates must possess a valid, unexpired Real ID-compliant driver's license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire. If you are unsure whether your ID is Real ID-compliant, please check for the star symbol in the upper portion of your driver's license or state ID.
  • Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use.
  • 8 or more years of general, full-time work experience. May be reduced with the completion of advanced education.
  • 4 or more years of directly related experience.
  • Current DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification (ex., CompTIA Security+ with CE).

Nice To Haves

  • Systems Administration and Engineering experience managing Windows desktops, servers, and office products.
  • Experience with HP workstations and thin clients.
  • Experience with Windows 10.
  • Experience with Networking and Cybersecurity.
  • Experience with Remedy Incident and Change Management.
