About The Position

The Traffic Coordinator at Towne Park plays a crucial role in directing vehicular traffic while providing exceptional hospitality services. This position is responsible for issuing valet parking tickets, assisting guests with luggage, and ensuring a positive experience for patients and visitors. The Traffic Coordinator is expected to maintain a friendly demeanor, uphold parking policies, and assist with marketing efforts, all while ensuring the safety and efficiency of parking operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience if no HS Diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of traffic and valet procedures.
  • Ability to read and write standard English language.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add and subtract three-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's; ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Register/Computer experience preferred.
  • Must be able to drive manual transmission and perform parallel parking.

Responsibilities

  • Direct vehicular traffic while providing attentive, friendly service to all patients/guests.
  • Assist marketing department with marketing efforts targeted to exciting clients.
  • Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, location staff, and co-workers.
  • Acknowledge and greet guests immediately while maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor.
  • Use guest last name at all times when appropriate.
  • Maintain accuracy and composure while under pressure.
  • Assist guests with directions and all other inquiries.
  • Provide information about surrounding areas and main attractions to guests as needed.
  • Protect guest confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA requirements.
  • Collect data in accordance with parking operations, if applicable.
  • Obtain information about daily events and rates to be charged.
  • Maintain claim checks and guest folio archives.
  • Run at top speed to park and retrieve vehicles and drive slowly and cautiously.
