About The Position

CENTREVILLE PUBLIC SCHOOLS 190 HOGAN ST., PO BOX 158 CENTREVILLE, MI 49032 November 2025 NOTICE OF VACANCY POSITION: JV GIRLS’ SOFTBALL COACH REPORTS TO: Athletic Director NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS: Exhibit high moral and ethical conduct and display a positive value system as a role model for the student-athletes. Demonstrate a clear understanding of the sport to be coached. Display good judgment in dealing with parents, team, administration, public, and media. Develop a program that is immersed in the vision of the athletic department in terms of developing the student-athlete as a whole and the department as a whole. Communicate and work effectively with fellow coaches, fellow staff members, district administration, and the community. Fulfill CPS and MSHAA requirements upon hire. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: A valid Michigan Teacher’s Certificate. Prior experience as a coach. Experience with an educational institution. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : The coach shall be directly responsible to the Athletic Director for the administration, supervision, and evaluation of matters pertaining to the assigned areas of responsibility. The coach is responsible for the organization, coordination, and interpretation of the sport. SALARY: As per contract.
