If so, continue reading to learn more about this exciting opportunity with the North Carolina Department of Public Safety (DPS). This posting is for a part time Staff Development & Training Intern (Summer 2026) with Juvenile Justice, a division of DPS. This Internship is expected to start on May 18, 2026 and last for 10 weeks, ending on July 24, 2026. The work schedule is part time, up to 30 hours per week Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. The rate of pay is $18.00 per hour. We value our employees and are committed to providing flexibility in work schedules. This position qualifies for teleworking on a part-time basis as part of the State Telework Program. This internship will participate in the development of an in-service training course to include a lesson plan and supplemental learning materials. Subject matter will focus on an emerging topic within the juvenile justice field. The training will be targeted for entry level and tenured juvenile justice employees as well as local and state community partners. As a result of this internship, you will have: • Increased knowledge of the Juvenile Justice System in North Carolina • Increased knowledge and understanding of the various Sections within the Division of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention • Practical skills development in project management and curriculum development Management seeks applicants with creativity and innovativeness.
