About The Position
The Juvenile Hearing Board Coordinator is a vital member of the Providence City Council's Constituent Services Team, responsible for managing the operational aspects of the Juvenile Hearing Board (JHB). The JHB is the city's diversionary program that seeks to keep youth out of the criminal justice system. The Coordinator's primary role is to organize board meetings, coordinate services for juveniles, and ensure compliance with the recommendations made by the board. This position serves as the key liaison between the board, service agencies, and law enforcement, contributing to the overall success and reintegration of juveniles referred to the board.
