About The Position
The Juvenile Corrections Officer position involves providing safe and secure supervision and care to youth in a secure juvenile detention environment. Officers will serve as role models, mentors, and guides, working as part of a team to support positive and healthy youth development. Responsibilities include managing conflict and youth behavior safely, engaging youth in pro-social activities, and supporting their development of new social, academic, and vocational skills. Officers will receive valuable training on building healthy relationships with youth and crisis prevention and management.
