About The Position

Just Salad is seeking Toppers and Cashiers to join our team in New York, NY. Toppers will focus on guest interactions and preparing orders in the front of house, while Cashiers will provide the last impression to guests. Both roles are integral to Just Salad's mission of promoting health and sustainability, supporting initiatives to reduce the company's environmental footprint.

Requirements

• Able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
• Remains stationary or moving continuously throughout a shift
• Climb stairs
• Bend, stoop and reach as needed throughout a shift
• Maintain a high degree of pace and intensity throughout shift
• Accurately read, write and clearly mark a JS order ticket
• Basic math skills
• Read, comprehend and follow JS menu and instructions
• Clearly and professionally communicate with customers, other team members and management
• Follow all Just Salad and Health Department Policies, Procedures and Standards

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service to Just Salad guests
• Fills out order ticket clearly and accurately
• Assists with digital orders as needed
• Tops salads and wraps
• Restocks toppings and lettuce as needed
• Practices FIFO (First in First Out)
• Cleans the line
• Sweeps floor during shift
• Completes assigned tasks
• Works as Name Taker if needed
• Cleans, re-stocks and breaks down topping line at the end of shift
• Follows food safety and quality standards
• Supports programs to minimize Just Salad's environmental footprint including food waste reduction, recycling, composting and more.
• Correctly counts the till at the beginning of the shift
• Rings up all orders as marked on their order ticket
• Correctly processes cash/credit cards/JS App
• Makes smoothies and restocks smoothie station as needed
• Bags customer's purchases upon request
• Restocks chips and fronts beverage station
• Occasionally wipes down tables
• Follows all Just Salad Cash Handling Procedures
• Restocks customer bagging area
• Prepares restock items for smoothies station as requested by manager
