Computer and Electronic Product Manufacturing

The Junior Test Engineer will interface with both design and manufacturing staff to assist in identifying electronic test and assembly requirements of new and existing products. The role involves designing and assisting in the design of special test fixturing to support comprehensive test coverage of printed circuit boards and electromechanical assemblies. Responsibilities include the construction and debugging of special test fixtures, assisting in the development of all required software support for test fixtures, preparing detailed test procedures and instructions, and supporting the deployment of special test fixtures and procedures to manufacturing while training personnel. The position also requires assessment of current test procedures and fixturing relative to quality improvement and throughput, evaluation and justification of the purchase of necessary test equipment for the production floor, and providing direct production support to test personnel during the competent level debug of printed circuit boards and electromechanical assemblies. The Junior Test Engineer will interpret test results and perform failure trend and root cause analysis on new and existing assemblies, assist in overseeing test fixture construction, and help resolve problems as they arise.
