About The Position

SAGE Dining Services® is seeking a Junior Technical Writer to join our dynamic and growing team! This new role is perfect for someone eager to collaborate with our experienced Technical Writer and help create clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation for our internal and external products. As part of the team, you will be key in developing and maintaining technical content, primarily focusing on release notes and knowledge articles. You'll work closely with other writers and cross-functional teams to ensure our documentation is accurate and accessible. Requirements

• Bachelor's in Communications, Journalism, English, or a STEM field or equivalent work experience.
• 2-3 years of experience writing technical documentation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Great attention to detail.
• Proficiency with the JIRA suite, Confluence, MS Word and Visio.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into clear and concise documentation.
• Experience preparing and maintaining user-guide-type technical publications and other technical documentation.
• Capable of completing tasks timely with minimal direct oversight.

Responsibilities

• Gather, edit, and publish subject-specific knowledge from subject matter experts and developers.
• Use our software applications to gather technical knowledge to apply to technical writing.
• Use existing templates to complete user-focused technical documentation.
• Adhere to established style guidelines, processes, and methodologies for technical documentation.
• Use JIRA to gather notes and information for technical documentation and to create a list of relevant questions for SMEs to answer to assist with filling in missing information gaps.
• Write user-focused documentation for our various software products published as part of our monthly software releases.
