About The Position

The Junior Summer Program Team Leaders will work with the Junior Program Manager to ensure a safe and fun environment for the children in the program. The team leader will be required to engage the children both actively and creatively. A typical day will involve overseeing a group of children through many activities including, but not limited to, golf, tennis, and swimming. The team leader must be professional, knowledgeable, and courteous to children, parents, and fellow co-workers.

Requirements

• CPR/First Aid (training provided)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to manage groups of children of varying ages and abilities. Enthusiasm for sports, outdoor activities, and youth development.
• Must be able to work in outdoor and indoor settings, including athletic facilities and pools. Must be able to work while exposed to heat, sun, and varying weather conditions.
• Must be able to sustain energy and focus required of an active, fast-paced environment
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds
• Must be able to stand for 8-10 hours
• Must possess basic reading and writing skills and the ability to speak English conversationally

Responsibilities

• Ability to work ALL of the Summer Program weeks, June 15 – Aug 21, 2025. This is generally M-F and 32-38 hours per week.
• Willingness to assist and participate in sporting professionals in various activities
• Engage children actively and creatively
• Attend orientation and training in May
• Take responsibility for the safety, well-being and happiness of the children in the program
• Guide children, as needed, to be successful in all program activities
• Supervise children during transitions between activities, meals, and breaks. Enforce program rules, and safety procedures consistently.
