About The Position

LMI is seeking a J unior Strategic Communications/Graphic Arts Professional to provide tactical and strategic communications support to the Office of the Assistant Secretary of War for Industrial Base Policy (OASW-IBP). The candidate will primarily provide graphics arts support and secondarily, help manage and implement communications strategies and related strategic planning efforts to further the customer’s relationships with their stakeholders and support the customer’s mission and desired program outcomes. This position requires you to be on-site 5 days/week in Arlington, VA. LMI is a new breed of digital solutions provider dedicated to accelerating government impact with innovation and speed. Requirements

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or related field
  • Experience : 3-5 years’ strategic communications experience in DOW or defense industry
  • Experience in creating compelling graphics, imagery, and related products.
  • Expert in use of Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and measure strategic communications campaigns through a variety of media, including but not limited to print and digital.
  • Familiarity with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, which requires federal agencies to ensure their electronic and information technology (EIT) is accessible to people with disabilities, or willingness to obtain training in this area.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct strategic communications support to the Strategic Communications Lead for IBP.
  • Create graphics, imagery, presentations, and other products requiring graphics design expertise: Conceptualize, design, and produce graphics for web, social media, print, and presentations (e.g., posters, brochures, infographics, banners, etc.)
  • Collaborate with other teams across the enterprise to understand project goals and deliver effective visual solutions.
  • Utilize software (Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for illustration, photo editing, layout, and motion graphics.
  • Ensure all designs adhere to DOW brand guidelines and maintain consistency across all materials.
  • Prepare and present design mockups, incorporate feedback, and manage revisions.
  • Develop and optimize graphics for digital platforms, including video and animations for social media.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, software, and design best practices.
  • Maintain the IBP strategic communications information repository, to include maintaining trackers, documents, and other strategic communications materials.
  • Provide strategic communications support to the internal and external communications activities of IBP.
  • Help plan, implement, and measure strategic communications campaigns and events. This includes planning and executing internal Town Halls; and updating stakeholder maps, channel maps, top level talking points and playbook documents, and other related materials.
  • Backfill the Senior Strategic Communications Specialist when that person is out of the office.
