About The Position

The Fraser Lab in the UCSF Department of Bioengineering and Therapeutic Sciences is seeking a Junior Specialist to join their team immediately. This position is integral to the lab's focus on advancing therapeutic engineering, pharmacogenomics, computational biology, systems pharmacology, drug development, and regulatory sciences. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining automated pipelines for processing cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM) images, which are essential for statistical analysis and structure determination necessary for structure-based design. The lab employs a combination of structural biology, biochemistry, and deep mutational scanning methods to study protein functions in both physiological and pathological contexts. A strong background in computational biology and image analysis is essential, along with a passion for advancing research in structural biology.
