TriVector Services, Inc., is seeking qualified candidates to fill our Junior Software Systems Engineer position . Description/Duties: The Junior Software Systems Engineer will support NASA Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) in the Huntsville Operations Support Center (HOSC) for ISS and apply advanced engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate computer, telecommunications, audio, and video systems. The candidate will review and prepare engineering and technical analysis reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation. The candidate will apply engineering principles to perform functions such as computer system architecture design, computer system integration, computer and telecommunications configuration management, and quality assurance testing of computer and telecommunications systems and associated support systems.

Requirements

  • Candidate must be a U.S. citizen.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a technical/engineering field.
  • Proficient oral and technical writing skills.
  • Possess extreme attention to detail.
  • Able to approach unexpected issues with independent thinking and practical solutions.
  • Experience with coding languages (.net, Python, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of IBM DOORS Next Generation and/or IBM Engineering Test Management is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Participate in all phases of the development process including requirement analysis, test procedure development, procedure execution, artifact gathering, and post-test reporting.
  • Participate in design reviews including the identification of any discrepancies (i.e., Review Item Discrepancy - RID).
  • Assess new test content and provide test estimate; for projects that follow different development methodologies, perform IV&V responsibilities required for the development method.
  • Testing discrepancies will be documented on HOSC Problem Reports (HPR) and tracked to disposition and/or closure.
  • Have responsibility for developing and participating in system level tests.
  • In support of automation, identify opportunities for automation and work with prime to implement that automation to streamline testing and shorten test windows.
