About The Position

At USAA, our mission is to empower our members to achieve financial security through highly competitive products, exceptional service and trusted advice. We seek to be the #1 choice for the military community and their families. Embrace a fulfilling career at USAA, where our core values – honesty, integrity, loyalty and service – define how we treat each other and our members. Be part of what truly makes us special and impactful. The Opportunity The Public Cloud Enablement unit is responsible for defining, delivering, and supporting enterprise-ready capabilities that allow teams to confidently run workloads in the public cloud with the same quality of service, operational rigor, and security posture traditionally associated with on‑premises environments. This unit provides a unified, paved path for securely deploying and managing modern cloud-native workloads, particularly AWS Lambda, AWS EKS, and similar Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services. A key aspect of this role is the delivery and lifecycle stewardship of enterprise application archetypes, such as Serverless, developed in close partnership with Operations and Security, and other cross-functional units. These archetypes serve as repeatable templates that accelerate cloud adoption, simplify integration, and promote consistent engineering practices across business domains. As one of the four Centers of Excellence within the broader public cloud portfolio, PI aligns to the evolving cloud platform capability roadmap and helps drive the long-term vision for scalable, compliant, and developer-friendly cloud services. The outcomes driven by this unit include enabling agile teams with compliant pipelines with supported runtimes, and safe landed capabilities; accelerating public cloud adoption through proven architectural patterns; and ensuring compliant application delivery through secure and standardized approach. We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position will be based in San Antonio. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
