About The Position

Sonalysts, Inc. is seeking a junior software engineer to support software development functions for defense system projects. The successful candidate will have experience with Kubernetes and containerized software applications and be a fast learner who can quickly become a key contributor to the development of mission-critical, real-time military software applications. Location: Working full-time onsite at Lockheed Martin in Manassas, VA. Preference given to local candidates. What you will be doing: Supporting development of new and existing software applications running in a cloud environment. Investigating and fixing bugs resulting from system testing. Requirements

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical degree
Must be a U.S. citizen, eligible for a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance
Obtaining a U.S. Government security clearance involves a comprehensive background check. Candidates are eligible for a clearance if they have demonstrated sound financial management (including good credit) over time, are free of criminal records, have limited foreign contacts or ties, and other factors indicative of a position of trust to protect information sensitive to the U.S. Government.

Nice To Haves

Experience developing containerized applications for cloud-based architectures running Kubernetes
Software development for a Linux-based system
Experience/knowledge in multiple development languages/environments
Experience with submarine combat systems
Experience working within a defined (CMMI Level 3 or greater) software development process
Possessing an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance
