Junior Software Engineer
About The Position
Cardinal Technology Systems Corp. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiative in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking a Junior Software Engineer to work for our company. Summary Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Customs and Border Protection suitability. (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies) Client Agency is Customs & Border Protection Serves carries out basic work to support the transformation of overall requirements and architecture to a complete design. Assists in assuring consistency of overall effort. Demonstrated ability to work under only general direction. Translates detailed design into computer software. Tests, debugs, and refines the computer software to produce the required product. Prepares required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation. Enhances software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency. Follows reliability and maintainability guidance and policy to minimize life cycle costs of finished products.
Requirements
- Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Customs and Border Protection suitability. (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies)
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) required
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with databases, internet technologies, web applications, and e-business systems and interfaces
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, SQL, and Java
