Battle Management Software (BMS) Department in Ft. Wayne, IN is looking to hire a Junior Software Engineer to be part of the Command and Control (C2) Software development/maintenance team. Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
  • A minimum of 1.5 years of relevant software engineering experience.
  • Experience developing software using C++/Ada.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in OO and scripting languages.
  • Software development lifecycle experience using an Agile methodology.
  • Experience across the product development life cycle.
  • Well developed communications skills and team collaboration skills.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Proven ability and desire to facilitate career growth and knowledge transfer.
  • Proven ability to develop technical solutions to complex issues.
  • Familiarity with DOORS, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Be part of a successful team creating high-performance applications and be involved in all stages of the software development lifecycle.
  • Design, develop, test, deliver, and maintain software for a cutting-edge Navy Destroyer Platform.
  • Work with talented teams of engineers, architects, and leaders in an Agile environment.
  • Conduct functional analysis of real world and test data.
  • Collaborate with customers to bring new capabilities to the warfighter.
