About The Position

The Junior Service Director, Client Service at BNY Mellon is responsible for managing a dedicated portfolio of Tier 1 clients, providing exceptional client service, and supporting the Treasury Services Client Services team. This role involves maintaining strong relationships with clients, assisting in client reviews, and conducting root cause analysis for client issues. The position requires a proactive approach to meet performance objectives and adhere to company policies while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Banking/Financial is required.
  • 3-5 years of total work experience preferred, particularly in operational areas or client services.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with effective listening abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a client-centric focus and lean thought process.
  • Ability to multitask under pressure and adapt to changing environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Treasury Services or Global Client Service policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of key Treasury Service products, tools, and solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Dedicated Client Portfolio (Tier 1) with a focus on low to medium complexity relationships.
  • Assist with preparation and participate in Client Reviews during the training and transition period.
  • Support root cause analysis for client issues and incidents, coordinating with the Client Service Officer as needed.
  • Achieve training journey requirements and meet target objectives for performance, behavior, productivity, and risk.
  • Cross train within the core segment (e.g., Banks, NBFI) and provide backup support for the Service Director as needed.
  • Enhance and maintain robust relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Utilize a speak-up culture to identify root causes and areas of improvement when resolving client issues.
