About The Position

The Junior Sales Representative is an entry level sales role that includes a combination of inside and outside sales responsibilities. This role will engage with customers, build relationships, and contribute to revenue growth through inbound and outbound sales efforts and in-person client interactions.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or two more years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to work with management and peers.
  • Ability to maintain organization.
  • Ability to be a self-starter, operating under general guidelines.
  • Ability to provide and understand detailed information regarding specifications of products.
  • Ability to complete tasks on time and under pressure.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs such as, Windows, Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing small and mid-level customer base.
  • Meet with current and potential customers to present products/services.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Manage and sell to low volume accounts.
  • Contact new accounts to provide company information and salesperson assignment/transition.
  • Cultivate relationships to transition to appropriate sales reps as volume increase.
  • Transition customers which salespersons are having a difficult time staying in contact with.
  • Ability to provide quotes, print tickets, compile and complete necessary paperwork, and general record and bookkeeping.
  • Participate in sales training and development programs.
  • Represent the company at industry events and associations, networking opportunities and during customer meetings.
  • Coordinate sales support activities between sales, billing and scale house operations.
  • Ability to stay abreast on current market conditions, customers and competitor activities.
  • Ability to record detailed customer information for sales rep use.
  • Ability to learn and utilize company sales tools and applications as defined by the sales process (Sales Force, Material Quote).
  • Provide a high level of customer service.
  • Must be willing to answer calls after hours and on weekends when necessary.
