Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of inside or outside sales experience, or at least 3 years of experience in the hospitality or restaurant industry.
  • High school diploma or GED required; college coursework or degree preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.
  • To qualify for auto reimbursement, the vehicle used for work must carry a minimum of $500,000 in single-limit liability insurance and have up-to-date registration.
  • Effectively addresses and overcomes customer concerns and objections to support the sales process.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in food service or culinary fields is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • May be assigned up to 2–3 days per week traveling to customer locations to take orders, either independently or alongside District Sales Representatives (DSRs) / District Sales Managers (DSMs).
  • May be scheduled for “ride-withs” up to 2–3 days per week with assigned DSRs, as determined by the District Sales Manager.
  • Participates in ride-alongs with brokers who may serve in a training or mentorship capacity.
  • Assists and learns from DSRs by calling on or taking orders from existing customers and supporting payment collection when needed.
  • Provides sampling support for assigned DSRs and assists in covering their vacations, including calls and business appointments.
  • Responsible for learning and utilizing reporting tools, including TrackMax Insights, to run reports, conduct basic analysis, and share findings with DSMs and DSRs.
  • Develops a thorough understanding of all product lines and effectively communicates their applications and benefits to customers.
  • Follows established company procedures for quotes, pricing, purchasing, credit, and delivery; understands limits of authority and seeks appropriate approvals when necessary.
  • Learns and uses Microsoft 365 tools to communicate professionally and promptly across departments.
  • Ensures consistent, professional, and timely communication with all internal and external customers.
  • Maintains and grows assigned accounts on a probationary basis.
  • Assists with product recovery at customer locations when service failures occur.
  • Supports the DSM in planning and executing District Sales meetings.
  • May be assigned front office or inside sales tasks to support Inside Sales Associates.
  • Attends all required sales meetings, sales forums, and trade shows.
