About The Position

As a Junior Quality Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the quality assurance processes and ensuring that our products meet the highest standards. You will be involved in inspecting and testing processes to maintain the quality and functionality of our deliverables.

  • SAP system knowledge (Quality related functions only)
  • S4HANA knowledge (Quality related functions only)
  • VDA 6.5 certification
  • Core tools training including 8D approach
  • N5 knowledge

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of the Management System related to ISO9001, CQI-9 and IATF16949 for GEDIA US
  • Assist with the preparation Management Review for GEDIA NA
  • Assist with the development of the local QMS processes
  • Lead the QMS reporting for GEDIA US
  • Assist KPI reporting for GEDIA US
  • Review of GEDIA US QMS documents
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of the GEDIA Management System (N5) at the local level.
  • Manage the inclusion of GEDIA US documents in the N5 Solutions system
  • Ensure that customer specific requirements and industry requirements related to the quality function are integrated in to the GEDIA Georgia systems and are adhered to through management support.
  • Conduct training sessions for QMS related subject matter.
  • Interface with customers and suppliers as required to address quality concerns including the input of data into internal and external issue tracking/B2B systems, which will include:
  • Internal SAP system.
  • Customer B2B systems or other requested means of communication.
  • Review of supplier processes and corrective actions.
  • Manage and guide the analysis of internal and external quality issues and the use of problem-solving methods/tools, which will include:
  • 8D methodology / 5 Why / fishbone diagrams.
  • Manage and guide the improvement of production processes, which will include:
  • Root Cause analysis and implementation of short, and long-term actions aimed to improve processes
  • Laser dimensional adjustments on parts for the laser cutting process
  • Conducting Product Audits according to VDA 6.5 and Layered Process Audits (LPA)
