About The Position

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Junior level Project Procurement Manager (PPM) to support a Project Procurement Manager and collaborate with cross-functional departments including sales, engineering, operations, finance, and management. This role is crucial for ensuring effective procurement processes and strategies, contributing to the overall success of projects within the company.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in materials management and project management.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Experience with SAP.
• Well demonstrated verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and cross-functionally.

Nice To Haves

• Experience reading drawings.
• Experience with Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Develop RFPs and qualify potential suppliers through onboarding in GMDM.
• Determine appropriate strategies for sourcing and identify cost savings achievements.
• Investigate supplier costs that are unfavorable to budget and determine causes and mitigating actions.
• Evaluate unplanned project demand to assess the appropriate course of action.
• Support material setup in SAP, quoting, and additional sourcing as needed.
