The Junior Project Financial Analyst at Tetra Tech will support the Finance team in Maitland, Florida, focusing on budget tracking, forecasting, and project analysis. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field required.
  • 2-5 years of experience as a project analyst in a project-centric business preferred.
  • Experience with Oracle ERP systems preferred.
  • Advanced spreadsheet skills using Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, etc.).
  • Strong data entry, data reconciliation, and cost calculation skills.
  • Extraordinary attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in project financial analysis in a consulting environment.
  • Familiarity with disaster response financial management.

Responsibilities

  • Support Financial Managers in gathering critical data on projects including budget tracking, forecasting, and project analysis.
  • Assist in accurate project setup and maintenance within Oracle applications.
  • Monitor project profitability and comply with accounting policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with central billing and assist with collection efforts.
  • Understand and monitor vendor costs at the project/task order level.
  • Work under pressure to meet deadlines, including extended hours during disaster response activations.
  • Support Financial Manager in executing proper controls to monitor and communicate budget, actual status, and forecast costs.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of periodic status reports for management and clients.
  • Update accounting systems and assist in project budget maintenance.
  • Calculate monthly subcontractor accruals and quarterly financial updates.
  • Resolve payment or labor charging discrepancies identified on Project Status Reports.
