About The Position
Cliff Drysdale Tennis is excited to announce an opportunity for a full-time Junior Program Director at the Tyler Athletic and Swim Club. This role is pivotal in developing and managing junior programming, ensuring a vibrant and engaging environment for young athletes. The Junior Program Director will be responsible for creating a personal clientele for private lessons, planning and anticipating workload, and preparing the courts and staff before programs commence. Daily logs of attendance and payment information must be maintained to ensure smooth operations. The director will also play a key role in promoting various activities and events, encouraging participation among members and guests. In addition to these responsibilities, the Junior Program Director will coordinate and assist with special events throughout the year, requiring pre-approval for all ideas, promotions, and procedures at least two weeks in advance. Special events that necessitate a budget and marketing materials should be prepared a minimum of two months ahead of time. The position requires the director to be “on call” six days a week for scheduled lessons and clinics, with appropriate notice required for any unavailability. The director will also be responsible for running a minimum of two USTA Junior tournaments per year, for which they will receive both commission and an hourly rate. Monthly junior round robins or SSV tournaments will also be organized to facilitate match play for non-academy players, alongside managing JTT teams and assisting with junior camps during spring, summer, and fall.
