About The Position

The Junior Production Planner is responsible for controlling the production flow of wireless devices and the components used in their repair and refurbishment. This role coordinates material and labor resources to ensure timely production that meets or exceeds customer expectations. The Junior Planner makes data-driven decisions regarding build priorities, timelines, and material requirements, while maintaining accurate inventory controls to support efficient, compliant, and cost ‑ effective operations. This is an onsite role in our Lewisville TX facility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of equivalent work experience; alternatively, at least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, repair, or remanufacturing environment
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, charts, and trend analysis; working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Great Plains or similar ERP systems
  • Solid understanding of Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) to drive time ‑ phased end ‑ item and component requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret Master Schedule data and translate it into detailed, executable production plans
  • Strong analytical and problem ‑ solving skills, with the ability to evaluate large data sets and anticipate operational challenges
  • Effective communicator and collaborative team player, able to work with supervisors, buyers, managers, and cross ‑ functional partners
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a fast ‑ paced, deadline ‑ driven environment
  • Results ‑ oriented mindset with a sense of urgency and positive, high ‑ energy approach to work
  • Experience working with MRP/ERP systems in a manufacturing, repair, or remanufacturing setting
  • Knowledge of Bill of Material (BOM) structures as they relate to planning and production activities

Nice To Haves

  • APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP)
  • Experience with Tier 1 ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or JD Edwards
  • Working knowledge of statistics, forecasting methods, and their financial and operational impacts
  • Experience supporting Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes or best practices
  • Prior exposure to high ‑ volume retail, distributor, or customer ‑ driven demand environments
  • Demonstrated ability to influence decisions and collaborate effectively across teams and levels
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Visio or similar process ‑ mapping tools
  • Early leadership experience or demonstrated potential within materials or production planning functions

Responsibilities

  • Participate in onboarding, training, and development initiatives to build planning capability and support business objectives
  • Review production schedules, work orders, and staffing plans to determine material and labor requirements, adjusting plans to align with capacity and operational constraints
  • Plan and schedule daily and weekly repair production in alignment with the master schedule to meet output and service targets
  • Coordinate material availability (handsets and components) with stockroom and receiving teams to support uninterrupted production
  • Execute Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) to ensure timely availability of components and repair materials
  • Coordinate with production supervisors to align production capacity with planned workloads
  • Provide accurate daily, weekly, and monthly production status updates against work orders and schedules, highlighting risks and recommended adjustments
  • Analyze demand trends and sales forecasts to support production planning commitments and timelines
  • Compile and maintain production, inventory, and material usage data to support reporting, forecasting, and decision-making
  • Maintain inventory health by supporting inventory turn targets and reducing Excess and Obsolete (E&O) materials
  • Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and customers to expedite materials or production flow and resolve delays or issues
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support planning and operational needs
