About The Position

This 206,878 square-foot facility, located in the Philadelphia area is Catalent’s global Center of Excellence for Clinical Supply Packaging. Catalent offers GMP secondary packaging and clinical labeling services throughout our global network. Packaging can be configured to hold a single product, or multiple products as determined by study requirements. We offer manual patient kit assembly along with semi-automated and automated wallet sealing and high-speed automated carding to meet the needs of studies of all sizes. Catalent Pharma Solutions in Philadelphia, PA is hiring a Junior Production Planner / Scheduler. The Junior Planner / Scheduler is responsible for supporting the maintenance of the site’s sales and operations planning (S&OP) processes. The role supports the department in ownership, analysis, management and communication of the site’s consolidated master production plan. Additionally, the role will support translating forecasts into the plan, liaise with project management, and funnel that plan into a weekly schedule in conjunction with the operations team. The junior planner/schedule will work with numerous internal stakeholders across the site supporting reporting activities associated with any aspects of the S&OP process while ensuring visibility, accountability, communication, and reporting at all levels of the organization. Lastly, the role supports and/or leads continuous improvement projects to ensure efficiency in achieving operational and financial targets. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree: (Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, etc.)
  • 5-15 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, operations, or analytical roles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data
  • Proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables)
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)

Nice To Haves

  • ASCM/APICS, PMP, SixSigma YellowBelt preferred
  • Strong Knowledge of xGMP regulations and experience working in highly regulated environments preferred
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the site master plan and drive all S&OP processes, providing visibility of status and changes to said plan to all levels of the organization in a variety of formats
  • Track and communicate planning adherence metrics as needed (daily, weekly, monthly), escalating and mitigating risks or concerns as needed
  • Generate business outlooks (financial and capacity) and communicate to internal / external stakeholders on a periodic basis, liaising with necessary parties internally to ensure data integrity of forecast inputs
  • Coordinate the generate a “frozen horizon” on a rolling calendar basis that serves as the locked schedule for the operations team
  • Coordinate the preparation of records for production in the “slushy” and “frozen” horizons (Ready-to-Execute Planning)
  • Generate / Report performance execution metrics to site leadership and track RTE issues for CAPA
  • Ensure data cleanliness of systems and tools used for planning purposes
  • Coordinate with global teams as appropriate
  • Identify opportunities to improve sales and operations planning processes through automation, standardization, and better data usage
  • Support internal controls, audit requests, and compliance related to procurement activities
  • Partner with Finance to ensure accurate accruals, forecasts, and spend visibility
  • Support project management, engineering, and other improvement projects as needed
  • All other duties as assigned.
