About The Position

As a Junior Procurement Analyst at Green Cabbage, you will play a role in leveraging and understanding data analytics and technology solutions to provide insights that optimize procurement processes and drive cost savings for our clients. You will work in a team of analysts to be responsible for understanding trends in indirect IT and contingent workforce spend, identifying opportunities for improvement, and working within a team to implement strategies to enhance procurement efficiency for our clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 1+ years of intern or titled job experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, with a focus on indirect IT or contingent workforce categories.
• Proven track record of leveraging data analytics and technology solutions to drive procurement efficiency and cost savings.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Experience with procurement technology solutions such as spend analysis platforms, e-procurement systems, or contract management tools.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts and insights to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Understand and analyze indirect IT and contingent workforce spend data.
• Work within your team to understand analytical tools and techniques to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for cost optimization.
• Generate actionable insights to improve procurement processes and drive cost savings.
• Collaborate with your team to leverage our clients key stakeholders to develop sourcing strategies for indirect IT and contingent workforce categories.
• Conduct market research and supplier evaluations to identify potential suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements.
• Drive supplier consolidation and contract optimization initiatives to maximize value and efficiency.
• Work closely with the technology team to implement and optimize procurement technology solutions, such as spend analysis platforms and e-procurement systems.
• Provide input and feedback to enhance the functionality and usability of procurement technology tools.
• Generate regular reports and dashboards to communicate procurement performance and insights to internal stakeholders and clients.
• Identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions to ensure procurement objectives are met.
• Work within your team to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and IT, to align procurement initiatives with business objectives.
• Engage with your manager and work as a liaison within our clients to understand their procurement challenges and requirements, and provide tailored solutions and support.
