About The Position
The Junior Physicist will provide radiation physics services within the Radiation Therapy Department. Responsibilities include verifying computer calculations for radiotherapy, creating and transferring reference images, communicating with radiation therapists, performing dose calculations, assisting the medical physicist, operating treatment planning computers, supervising dosimetry applications, utilizing radiation monitoring devices, teaching medical dosimetry, participating in clinical research and continuing education, and engaging in quality improvement processes. Employees are expected to adhere to high ethical standards and comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including maintaining patient confidentiality as per HIPAA.
