About The Position

Our client is building a next-generation protocol for decentralized event markets where real-world outcomes are tradable as onchain tokens. By combining continuous pricing, objective settlement, and modular market mechanics, the protocol enables traders to express conviction, hedge scenarios, and engage with events in real time. This is a fast-moving, high-agency environment where operational excellence is critical as every decision impacts live markets, event outcomes, and user trust.
We are seeking a Junior Operations Associate to own critical operational and research functions across the protocol. You will monitor live markets, maintain operational integrity, and ensure event outcomes are accurately resolved. This role demands ownership, precision, and the ability to contribute meaningfully from day one, while collaborating closely with product, engineering, and research teams.
You will help shape operational workflows, enhance market processes, and support the growth of the protocol’s infrastructure. Exceptional candidates can grow into senior operations, research, or strategy roles over time.

Requirements

• 2+ years professional experience in operations, research, fintech, crypto, or a related field
• Working knowledge of market microstructure, onchain trading mechanics, or financial markets
• Strong analytical skills, able to structure ambiguous problems and arrive at independent, well-reasoned conclusions
• Exceptional attention to detail and a track record of accurate, high-quality work
• Strong written communication skills for documentation, reports, and stakeholder updates
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams, meet deadlines, and operate with minimal supervision
• Familiarity with data or AI tools (Notion, Sheets, SQL, Python)
• Genuine interest in DeFi, event-based markets, and emerging financial primitives

Nice To Haves

• Direct experience with prediction markets, event derivatives, or onchain protocols
• Background in quantitative research, trading operations, or market-making
• Familiarity with smart contracts, token mechanics, or DeFi primitives
• Experience building or improving operational systems and tooling from scratch

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end daily market operations, including monitoring markets, resolving events accurately, and managing data feeds
• Maintain operational documentation and workflows for event resolution, market rules, and data standards
• Conduct structured research on markets, competitors, and event viability; synthesize findings into actionable recommendations
• Ensure quality assurance across event listings, market descriptions, resolution criteria, and research references
• Identify operational inefficiencies and implement improvements with clear follow-through
• Participate in cross-functional discussions and contribute insights that inform product and market strategy
