THE OPPORTUNITY The Junior Network Technician assists network staff with daily operations and offers support for various projects. This position involves implementation of network infrastructure (configuration and deployment) as well as day-to-day production support and customer interfacing opportunities. WHAT YOU WILL DO Survey WiFi signal strength using specialized equipment as directed by Network Staff. Survey meeting and conference rooms to support Cisco Spaces occupancy efforts. Assist with campus wide wired port reduction initiatives as directed. Assist network staff with configuration, deployment, and installation of network switches. Assist network staff with troubleshooting and problem resolution for Tier 2/3 escalations. Create logical diagrams of network closets using software as directed by Network staff. Assist with replacement of failed batteries in Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) units. Assume additional responsibilities as required. Must have strong computer skills including proficiency in Google Drive/Docs and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook/Calendar). HOW AND WHERE YOU WILL WORK This is an on-campus position expected to work approximately 35 hours per week January 2026 through April 2026. This is a co-op position with a pay rate of $24/hr.
