We are seeking a motivated Junior Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of networking concepts and a keen interest in developing their skills in a hands-on environment. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers, gaining exposure to real-world network operations and contributing to the stability and security of our clients' networks.

  • Assist in installing, configuring, and maintaining network equipment, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Participate in routine network maintenance tasks, such as firmware updates and patch management.
  • Maintain accurate records of network configurations, changes, and incidents.
  • Document standard operating procedures and contribute to knowledge base articles.
  • Support the implementation of network security measures, including access controls and firewall rules.
  • Assist in monitoring for security breaches and respond to incidents as directed.
  • Work closely with senior network engineers to develop technical skills and understanding of best practices.
  • Engage in training opportunities and stay current with emerging networking technologies.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to support network-related issues outside regular business hours.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in network engineering or a related role.
  • Basic understanding of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).
  • Familiarity with network hardware and software, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Exposure to network monitoring tools and troubleshooting techniques.
  • CompTIA Network+ or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
