About The Position

This role involves successful business development through support provided by the Jr. MLO to an assigned MLO. The Junior Mortgage Loan Officer will fulfill their roles through the following responsibilities.

You will be required to register on (NMLS) National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Knowledge of origination process, underwriting criteria, and secondary market guidelines.
• NMLS certified.
• Proficient in public speaking and presentation skills.
• Able to educate borrowers on loan products and process.

Nice To Haves

• Prior mortgage banking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the origination, or may originate, high-quality mortgage loans, including Conventional, Jumbo, FHA, USDA, VA, and portfolio loans.
• Managing customer experience through the entire loan process, from origination and analysis to loan closing.
• Assisting the MLO with all origination responsibilities, including focusing on marketing activities and promotional strategies to attract new customers.
• Promoting Prosperity Bank to real estate agents, builders, developers, financial planners, and other referral sources.
• Meeting with potential customers to understand their financial needs and find the best mortgage product to suit those needs.
• All other tasks as assigned by the MLO in which you are assigned.
