About The Position

AV is looking for a Junior Modeling and Simulation Engineer. In this position you will execute model-based air and missile defense analysis supporting the MDA Engineering’s Architecture Validation/International team’s joint analysis with international partners. Job Description: Use modeling and simulation tools such as the Extended Air Defense Simulation (EADSIM) and Missile Defense Analysis Simulation (MDASIM) to execute system-level air and missile defense modeling on behalf of MDA/DE-CA. Participate in international air and missile defense architecture studies and working group forums with MDA's international partners. Travel, to include international locations, may be required. Coordinate with MDA/CA action officers and other program elements to execute data requests, answer technical questions and coordinate subject matter experts to support bi-lateral program agreements Present findings to joint forums with MDA and international partners at multiple technical exchange meetings. Participate in planning for model-based studies supporting MDA's objectives in each region. Additional responsibilities include developing study objectives, creating simulation run matrices/design of experiments and streamlining the process for data collection and visualization.

Requirements

  • Possess a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM field such as Computer Science, System Engineering, Mathematics, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or another relative field.
  • Need to have at least 3 years of experience with modeling tools supporting operations research, supporting defense analysis, or trade studies
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Need to engineering skills which include the use of mission level modeling and simulation tools, database development, data analytics, programing skills and technical writing.
  • Ability to plan for model-based studies supporting MDA's objectives in each region.
  • Ability to execute model-based studies and develop analytical reports and briefings for MDA.
  • Ability to travel, to include international locations, may be required.
  • ITAR Requirement: This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). In order to comply with the requirements of the ITAR and/or the EAR, applicants must qualify as a U.S. person under the ITAR and the EAR, or a person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
