We are currently seeking a proactive junior mechanical engineer with diverse technical interests and capabilities for “hands-on” experience. The individual’s primary responsibilities will be to work within the engineering teams to develop hardware for military applications. The engineer will work with multi-discipline teams across BAE facilities to create advanced products for the defense of the United States. The individual should be self-starting and able to thrive in a learning environment that encourages leadership and technical growth. Requirements

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering
  • Motivated self-starter and problem solver
  • Detail oriented person with good time management skills to be able to prioritize problems/actions in a team environment
  • Able to communicate with other engineers, operators, technicians, and managers on scope of efforts and technical solutions to problems
  • Eligible to obtain a DOD Security Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • MS in Mechanical Engineering
  • Shock and/or Vibration experience
  • 3D CAD experience
  • Knowledge of GD&T principles
  • Familiarity with mechanical analysis tools
  • Electro-Mechanical packaging
  • Familiarity with standard manufacturing practices
