About The Position

Armitage Architecture, Inc. (Armitage) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will assist in the design and development of building systems for a variety of infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, gain hands-on experience, and grow your engineering skills in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
2-4 years of relevant experience.
Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

Experience with hydronic system design, HVAC systems, or building control systems preferred.
In pursuit of EIT certification or PE license
Experience working with federal agencies a plus

Responsibilities

Assist in the design and development of building mechanical systems including HVAC, controls, plumbing and possibly fire protection.
Perform field investigations for the use in designs and construction support.
Create and review technical drawings and specifications.
Perform engineering calculations and models for use in system design.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, architects, project managers, and construction managers.
Participate in design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and team meetings.
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
Help identify and resolve engineering issues and challenges.
Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
