About The Position
Northeast Precast is seeking a motivated Junior Machinist to join our growing machine shop team. This entry-level role is ideal for a recent trade school or technical program graduate looking to build a long-term career in CNC machining and manufacturing. No prior professional experience required — training will be provided.
Requirements
- Technical school or vocational education in machining, manufacturing, or related field
- Basic understanding of machining principles and blueprint reading
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Responsibilities
- Assist in setup and operation of CNC mills and lathes
- Load materials and monitor machine cycles
- Perform basic quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Assist with tooling setup and part changeovers
- Support senior machinists with daily production tasks
