About The Position

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Junior Logistician to support our Huntsville, AL location. PeopleTec is seeking a Joint Munitions Effectives Manual (JMEM) Weaponeering Software (JWS) Junior Logistician - a motivated self-starter who is interested in joining an award-winning, employee-owned company and working with cutting edge products in the defense of the United States. The selected candidate will be a member of our dynamic Huntsville team and will provide logistics support for PeopleTec’s efforts in support of the development of the Joint Munitions Effectiveness Manual Weaponeering Software (JWS). Our team supports the Joint Technical Coordinating Group for Munitions Effectiveness (JTCG/ME) in its mission to provide a mechanism for inter-service efforts to improve the databases and analytical methodologies the Joint force uses to determine non-nuclear weapons effectiveness. JWS is a key component of this mission, as it is designed to support U.S. and allied military planners in selecting the most effective munitions and delivery tactics to achieve specific target effects. Its primary purpose is to provide a standardized, scientifically-based tool for weaponeering — the process of matching weapons to targets to produce a desired level of damage or effect. The successful candidate will be an adaptable, agile, junior logistician who is a consummate team player capable of supporting receipt, accountability, preparation, coordination, and shipping of training equipment, logging paperwork for all training equipment requests, and coordinating with the Government to transport equipment and materials in and out of the continental US.

An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Able to lift up to 20 pounds

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in logistics or a related area of study
Previous experience with the Department of Defense (DoD)
Three (3) years of experience working logistics for a DoD contract
Experience in accounting for Government Furnished Property (GFP) and maintaining associated paperwork
Sound oral communication and written skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
The ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
Must be a US citizen

Responsibilities

Responsibility for logistics associated with JTCG/ME training at both Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) locations
Coordination with the Government to transport training equipment and materials to OCONUS locations
Coordination with the Government to develop shipping costs and procure shipping labels for training materials
Supporting receipt, preparation, coordination, and shipping of training equipment
Maintaining accountability for all contractor and Government furnished equipment (e.g., training laptops, laptop imaging capabilities, and shipping containers) used in support of JWS
Conducting required inventories of all property and accounting for it in the appropriate PeopleTec and Government systems
Logging all paperwork associated with the accountability, transport, and receipt of materials associated with this contract
Producing Government Property Status Reports as required by the contract
Maintaining the program’s property management plan and submitting Property Management System procedures to the Government as required
Completing the plant clearance inventory schedule as required
Completing and maintaining training courses as required by the contract
