About The Position

The Junior Test Systems Engineer supports application, system, and integration testing efforts across the National System of Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System of Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and federal agency partners. This role contributes to ensuring the delivery of reliable, high-quality GEOINT systems through structured testing, defect analysis, and collaboration within modern DevOps environments. This is an ideal opportunity for an early-career engineer to grow within a mission-driven program, gaining exposure to enterprise-level systems, automated testing frameworks, and cutting-edge development practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, MIS, related STEM field or an additional 4 years equivalent junior-level experience in lieu of degree
  • TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a poly.
  • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools
  • Familiarity with Agile, traditional, and DevOps development environments and testing strategies

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with multiple tools/technologies such as: JMeter, Jenkins, Docker, Postman, Swagger, Nexus, Apigee, GitHub/GitLab
  • Programming/scripting experience (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, Bash, SQL, XML, JSON, Curl)
  • Exposure to cloud environments such as AWS or C2S
  • Basic understanding of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Familiarity with software development frameworks

Responsibilities

  • Support application, system, and integration testing activities across complex GEOINT environments
  • Execute manual and automated test scripts to validate system functionality and performance
  • Perform API and application testing within DevOps pipelines using established QA standards and best practices
  • Assist in independent integration testing of software and hardware to ensure compliance with requirements
  • Identify, document, and support resolution of defects discovered during testing
  • Contribute to technical investigations and root cause analysis
  • Work closely with developers, engineers, and testers to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle
  • Support NGA Test Organization (NTO) activities and testing initiatives
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies
