About The Position

We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior-Level Civil Engineer to join our award-winning architecture and engineering firm. The successful candidate will contribute to various municipal projects in Metro Detroit, assisting with engineering, construction, and design assignments. This role offers the opportunity to work onsite at the City of Pontiac and occasionally at our Waterford office.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 3-10 years of civil engineering experience working on municipal projects.
• Proficiency in CAD software, including AutoCAD, Microstation, and/or Civil 3D.
• Experience in municipal plan review.
• Grant permitting experience.

Nice To Haves

• EIT or PE certification.
• GIS experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering, construction, and design assignments on various municipal projects.
• Document and report on all construction project activities.
• Conduct analyses and design required for the projects.
• Prepare sketches and diagrams for field technicians.
• Review and check drawings and layouts.
• Assist in the preparation of contract/proposal specifications and construction cost estimates.
• Responsible for daily plan reviews.
• Involve in grant permitting.
• Review subcontractor shop drawing submittals.
• Assist in transportation engineering within municipal project sectors.
