Requirements

  • High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred
  • 2-4 years of previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred
  • Develops relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and faculty members
  • Can work collaboratively with others (team player)
  • Enjoys working with positive, like-minded people who are passionate about education
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children

Nice To Haves

  • Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the creation and implementation of flexible, age-appropriate lesson plans using Goddard’s curriculum, along with other curricular materials ( Fundations; Everyday Math ).
  • Inspire a love of learning through hands-on, engaging activities.
  • Observe and assess student development, adapting lessons using real-time data.
  • Build a safe, welcoming, and child-centered classroom environment.
  • Manage daily routines smoothly and use positive guidance for behavior.
  • Keep families informed through daily updates and conferences.
  • Foster strong parent partnerships and encourage involvement.
  • Maintain a clean, safe learning space; follow all safety protocols.
  • Supervise children at all times—indoors and outdoors.
  • Engage in ongoing training and stay current on best practices.
  • Collaborate with teammates to support a strong school community.
